“The True Art of Memory is the Art of Attention”
Samuel Johnson, 1759

IMPROVE YOUR MEMORY
You can improve the vast potential of your subconscious mind and become more effective in everything you do!
Our Memory Improvement Programs will teach you how.
It is for STUDENTS in Public and Higher Education.
It is for BABY BOOMERS and the ever growing SENIOR population.

These programs offer memory techniques and brain fitness tips for everyone. The secrets of memory experts are now offered to you in a single seminar .

Throughout my years of experience in the field of education, I was never offered a course of study to improve my memory. It puzzled me why none of my course work or teachers ever included information to improve my ability to retain information. I decided to research the area of memory improvement myself.

I began my research with several questions, which included the following three:
1. Can students benefit from a seminar in memory improvement techniques?
2. Can I and my aging peers benefit from memory enhancement exercises?
3. Can the techniques available be applied to everyday life and improve the quality of life for our aging population?

The results of my findings delighted me.
All my questions resulted in a Yes answer!

From the wealth of knowledge I researched, I have designed a series of seminars for a number of audiences. One of these fascinating seminars is for students in public and higher education. The second seminar is for “baby boomers” and the ever growing senior population. I have designed each program in a way that makes them fun, instructive, and practical for everyday usage.

I hope you are excited about receiving my invitation to improve your memory and contact me regarding my availability to schedule a seminar for the members of your organization.

What is it?
Memory is the ability of the mind to store and recall past sensations, thoughts, knowledge, events, learned information, etc. It is the retention of information over time. We have come to understand memory as short term and long term. Short term or working memory is something you heard and are trying to recall. This may last from a few seconds to a minute or so; the exact amount of time may vary. You need this memory to retain ideas and thoughts to complete a task. Her/his phone number or finishing a sentence for something you are writing, or to solve a math problem in your head.  Episodic memories; are long term memories of things that have occurred in your life that help shape who you are, or specific rules previously learned.

Can we improve memory?
This question has been asked for centuries. The Greeks and later the Romans developed the most extraordinary memories the world has ever seen. They lived in an age where there was no paper, so speeches and stories were committed to memory. Their ability to draw upon recall to recite long passages of verse is what allowed for knowledge to be passed to the next generation.

How do we improve memory?
In order to have memory it must be provided with learning; something to remember. Each of us has a preferred way of learning. Studies have revealed that there are three primary learning styles. Visual (learning by seeing), auditory (learning by hearing), and experiential (learning by doing). Understanding your unique style of learning can improve your approach to boosting your memory. Memory often begins as a sensory perception that is linked to your learning style. These include sight, sound, and touch, as well as taste and smell. It is with each of these sensory perceptions that we begin to build and strengthen long term memory.
